Inspired!!!

A few weeks ago Austin held a free museum day and I journeyed into the depths of traffic hell to visit a few.

I went to the Blanton

And the Bob Bullock

After this half day journey I came home inspired to work on the painting I've been working on since mothers day - the 5' x 4' one....

Last weekend I went camping on Mustang Island

And again I came back inspired to work on the massive canvas...

and this is where I am now. The colors are actually day glow and are more vibrant than the photo shows.

There are days that I want to call in sick at my real job and paint all day but unfortunately the paintings are not paying the bills.
:(

Painting really is my escape from the BS of everyday life and one day I will live on the beach and paint until I can't hold the brush any longer.

For now it will provide me with short respites from the drudgery of everyday life.
I will hold onto these moments and treasure them with my every breath for now because they are all I have that keeps my sanity in check.

Until I post again....

Life

It has been a long time again since I have been here
and even longer since I've picked up my brush and paints.

I wanted this blog to be about my blooming creativity
but find it is hard when life is kicking your ass all day.

I don't suppose it really matters,
its not like I have a million followers.

IF
you are out there
AND
you like my paintings
SAY
something nice

Please...

Inspiration comes from without and within...

YES!!!

Just downloaded the Blogger app to my phone, I don't have any more excuses!

A Month Has Passed

It has been exactly one month today that I last visited here...
Really dedicated right?
haha

Its been even longer since I visited my DevianArt page:
It was so long that I not only forgot my password...
I also forgot my login ID!!!

I am still working on my HUGE 4'x5' painting but when I've wanted something small and quick to do I have been working on the Producer Series.
The first one was in my last post and here is the second one:

I am in the process of working on the third one.

When it is complete I will be building a modern frame for them and of course I will share a pic with you
... my fans...

It's Been Awhile - again....

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted here...
Life really got a hold of me [and not for the better this time].

I have done a lot of paintings since I was here the last time and they are posted below.
Again however, I have nothing to do with them, so if you see one you want and are willing to cover the cost of postage - I will send it to you.

Someone I follow on Instagram took a photo of a flower like this and I asked him if I could paint it. Needless to say he said yes and sent me his email to send it to him.
I sent it today - we'll see how he likes it.
[The photo is darker than it really is - it is much brighter and vibrant.]

I received this 4' x 5' canvas for mothers day - this one is still in the works.

I hope you enjoyed and please feel free to leave comments and follow - it may inspire me to update this page more often.

Busy Bee

I'm sorry I have not been here to entertain my followers.
There has not been much new going on in my world - I finally completed the wall mural:

And I have also created two artistic aprons:

As I said there has not been much going on here.
If I ever get the extra money I plan on making more aprons and women's T-shirts.

Well this hobby doesn't pay the bills so I must go get ready for work.

Uninspired

Uninspired
~~~~~~~~
Yeah, that is me.
There is so much going on in my life that I just do not have the desire to be creative.
I can feel the proverbial black cloud hanging over me.
Looming.
Promising doom in the future.
In other words...
I believe the shit is about to hit the fan.
I cannot do anything about it either.
I have no choice but to unfurl my sails and blow through the pending storm like a bat out of hell.
I will not fight or argue anymore.
It isn't worth it.
We have no choice.
It is time to move on.
Until then...
I will be an obedient servant for I am nothing more.
I will not be forced to fail when I have no control.
YOU WILL NOT BEAT ME!
I WILL WIN & YOU WILL FAIL!
Wall Mural Again...
I'm so tired!
I worked at least 15 hours this weekend on the wall mural for the gym.
I now have sore knees, ass, back....
Have even dealt with a totally numb hand at a few points.
Ugh...
But I think its worth it so far
what do you think?
As always, I am painting the background last.
[bottom right corner]
I don't know why but that's just what I do.
Maybe I will learn one day that I can still draw the design just touch up where I make mistakes.
Nah
I'm Still Here!
I have not painted anything recently that has taken only a few days of time because I am currently working on a wall mural in my roommates home gym. [Also remember, I work full time.]
Other than the mural and work, life has been stressing me out so bad for the last two weeks.
I literally felt my blood pressure sky rocket twice today! No its not a health concern, it was caused by external factors. The kind that I have only limited control over.
I cant help but think of Bob Segers - Feel like A Number, lately.
Well, I have a long weekend ahead of me - working on the mural, I should catch some zzzzzzzzz's.
Good night my fellow deviants! <3
Wall Mural
Yep!
I am painting a wall mural in a room we are converting into a home gym.
Thank fully we are slowly buying the equipment, thus giving me time to complete the mural.
Below is a picture of the rough sketch:
(Yet another awful iPhone 3Gs phone pic.)
Anyway, this is getting done in shades of blue in a room we have already painted a bright pure white.
It looks really good too! I cannot wait until it is all done.
I'm getting a punching bag and probably some pink gloves!
(Well that is what I'd like.)
I'm also getting a Roman something bench its used for suspended sit ups.
I cannot wait, those are the best sit ups anyone can do.
Anyway, if I can find the charger for my camera I will post pics of the progress.
Until then - thank you for visiting my blog!
I thank all of you for your support!
FIVE
So far this year I have created five masterpieces
!!!! LMAO !!!!
Okay, five paintings; problem is I do not have a clue what to do with them!
Not to mention I am having serious storage/organizational issues with the canvases and my supplies. I just don't know what to with all of it!
+My brushes are in a clay pot that my son painted for me one year for mothers day. :)
+Paints are in clear storage boxes with lids [but I cannot close them they're overflowing]. :\
+Stretched canvases are leaning against a wall. :/
+Canvas paper paintings are closed inside a large canvas paper binder with a rubber band holding it closed. :\
Its just an organized mess that is driving me nuts!!!!
I am open to any and all suggestions you may have....
HELP!!!
Squiggly Doodle Art
As a child we all drew pictures and colored.
I could draw Beetle Bailey, BC, cars and animals
Not that great but I could do it.
But my favorite thing to draw was something I now fondly call
Squiggly Doodle Art!
I'd take a black crayon and draw a continuous squiggly line all over a sheet of paper then proceed to color in the spaces with all of my 64 Crayolas! I'd even make my own green by using yellow then coloring over it with blue!
It was so fun and relaxing.
You see, drawing/crafting/art has always  given me peace of mind.
So last weekend something brought this art form to mind and I have been working on a painting like it.
All I will say is that even though the colors are much easier in acrylics to blend than they are with crayons, this has been a tough painting! I still have the final touch up to complete and then she is going up on my DevianArt page for sale as prints.
That is how much I love it!
All of my friends on Facebook that have commented on the picture are saying how just looking at it made them smile. That is how it makes me feel!
My mom said:
"You drew one just like that when you were 4. Love ya."
[That made me smile again!]
Here is a snapshot of the painting so far, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
:)
Its only a 9" x 12" but I really want to do a huge 4' x 5'
Here it is completed:
Surfs Up
It only took me about 3 days of total time to complete this painting and I believe its one of my favorites.
I do not remember if I mentioned it in my last post or not but I have recently opened a DeviantArt page and I love it so far. I have fellow artists who are following my page and watching for my future posts.
I almost feel like it is better than the praise I have received on FB and definitely on Twitter.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful to my friends on those pages but they...
well to be honest they seem to not want to see my work anymore...
well one "friend" in particular...
So what anyway:::
